Pontoon Lift – Woodside ferry terminal project

We are currently working on a fascinating project, capturing construction of the new Woodside Ferry Terminal for Warbreck Engineering Ltd. As part of this project, we recently recorded the pontoon lift – the lifting of the new pontoon into the River Mersey – using short term time-lapse, as well as ground and aerial filming. It was a really interesting day!

Hapo International Barges used their crane, Lara 1, to launch the pontoon, which will be used as a ferry berth for Mersey Ferries/Merseytravel at the Woodside ferry terminal.

After collecting all of the time-lapse and aerial footage of the day, we edited this together into a short film, which was shared with the crane operator, Hapo International Barges. Studio DBLY added Hapo titles, and the film has been used by them to promote their work on social media, and show what the Lara 1 crane can do. You can see the post here >

We are continuing to capture long term time-lapse of the construction of the Woodside ferry terminal for Warbreck, and are looking forward to the sharing the completed project and final film!
