Title pages & introductory sequences
Title pages and introductory sequences can help to introduce your project and place it within the wider context. The inclusion of historical images or footage can help to show the past and previous changes to the area, placing your new development and associated changes into it’s historical context and providing a starting point, from where you can use the time-lapse to showcase your vision of the future. The film below of the lido makes fantastic use of introductory sequences and historical images, as well as on-site filming of the lido after the renovations were complete.
Interviews
Interviews can be wonderful for engaging the viewer with the project, explaining your aims or work processes, introducing your film or placing it within the wider context. The Sutton Bathroom Pods project below uses interviews to fantastic effect.
Captions
Captions can describe to the viewer what is being shown, and provide an extra level of detail, so that they can better understand the build process. They can highlight key aspects of the project and bring attention to the key milestones, events or numbers involved in the scheme. Captions were used to great effect in the Leopold Gardens films opposite.
